SAMHSA Emergency Response Grant (SERG)

Mental Health First Aid — Youth (YMHFA)

Train the Trainer

This training prepares individuals to become trainers of the Mental Health First Aid-Youth workshop. YMHFA teaches members of the public how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. Mental Health First Aid does not teach people to treat or diagnose mental health or substance use conditions. Instead, the training teaches people how to offer initial support until appropriate professional help is received or until the crisis resolves.

By clicking “enroll,” you will be applying to be a participant in the workshop. In order for your registration to be complete after clicking the “enroll” button, please download, fill out and submit the application located on your www.harveyserg.com account. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed, and you will be notified via an email if you are accepted to be a participant in the workshop. Please note that acceptance is not guaranteed so do not make travel arrangements until you receive your acceptance email.
